User Guide

It's generally considered good practice to establish some form of written service agreement between you and your customers. To that end, RepairShopPro provides two built-in agreements and a third option to supply your own.

Long Service Agreement

The RepairShopPro Long Service Agreement is a generic, legally binding auto repair contract applicable to most auto repair scenarios. Since not all shops will offer the same terms, parts of it can be customized under "Invoice" tab in Global Settings.

  • Maximum Charge Above Estimate. In percentage terms, the amount an estimate can be exceeded without requiring a new estimate.
  • Service Warranty Days: Number of days service warranty applies.
  • Service Warranty Miles: Number of miles service warranty applies.

Short Service Agreement

The RepairShopPro Short Service Agreement is an abbreviated version of the long agreement. It provides a signature block for service authorization, lien protection to the shop owner and releases the customer from liability due to loss or damage.

User Defined Agreement

If the built-in service agreements don't meet your requirements, you can create your own using the "Invoice Sections Editor" under the Editors menu.
